Abstract

A report on the excavation of these mineral springs that was conducted while they were being drained in the nineteenth century. Three wells and a series of roots from an ancient forest were unearthed, as well as several artefacts that are described in detail. Among these artefacts were Roman coins and items that the author suggests may have come from South Asia.
