Abstract

An article considering a silver arrow, given as a prize in medieval revivalist games of the nineteenth century. There are appendices on `The medals attached to the Marchmont Arrow' (1183--5) and on nineteen other `Scots silver arrows' dating to between 1603 and 1850 (1185--6).
