Abstract

Reports work carried out in December 1987 to January 1988 on the site of a nineteenth-century pottery kiln. The base of a large kiln was recorded, beneath which there was evidence for three earlier kilns. Thousands of pottery sherds were recovered. Details of all known marked Newbigging ceramics are also listed for the first time in an appendix (958--60).
